Sintrol awarded the “Carbon Footprint Calculated” label

23.6.2026

Sintrol has been awarded the “Carbon Footprint Calculated” label by the Finland Chamber of Commerce. The label indicates that we have calculated the carbon footprint of our operations in accordance with the international GHG Protocol standard.

The calculation covers Sintrol’s direct emissions as well as emissions from purchased energy for the most recently completed financial year. The work was carried out as part of the Finland Chamber of Commerce’s Climate Programme, where the calculation was also reviewed.

This is an important step for us in our sustainability work. By understanding the key sources of emissions in our operations, we are better able to develop practical solutions to reduce them.

What did the calculation cover?

The calculation included direct emissions from Sintrol’s own operations, as well as emissions from purchased electricity and heating.

The main sources of emissions are related to the use of vehicles and the energy consumption of properties. In these areas, we can influence emissions, for example, by favouring lower-emission vehicles and further developing our energy choices.

Our sustainability work continues

Carbon footprint calculation helps us make better decisions and monitor our progress in the coming years. It also supports our customers and partners, for whom responsible supply chains are becoming increasingly important.

Next, we will continue to specify emission reduction measures as part of the Climate Programme. The calculation of indirect emissions from the value chain will also be assessed separately at a later stage.

For us, the most important thing is to move forward in our sustainability work in a practical and long-term way: we identify our impacts, develop our operations and do our part.
